In her groundbreaking and inspiring book, Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds, Dr. Kelly A. Turner, founder of the Radical Remission Project, uncovers nine factors that can lead to a spontaneous remission from cancer even after conventional medicine has failed. While getting her Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkley, Dr. Turner, a researcher, lecturer, and counselor in integrative oncology, was shocked to discover that no one was studying episodes of radical (or unexpected) remission when people recover against all odds without the help of conventional medicine, or after conventional medicine has failed. She was so fascinated by this kind of remission that she embarked on a ten month trip around the world, traveling to ten different countries to interview fifty holistic healers and twenty radical remission cancer survivors about their healing practices and techniques. Her research continued by interviewing over 100 Radical Remission survivors and studying over 1000 of these cases. Her evidence presents nine common themes that she believes may help even terminal patients turn their lives around.
The other day I was working with a client who I also now consider a dear friend, helping her to decide whether she should take chemo or not.
This is a big dilemma for a lot of people who get diagnosed.
That night I again "stumbled" across this lady on you tube and just knew if would help her put her mind at ease.
Again was I guided to it because I always ask for help for all my clients or was it just a coincedence?
There are many ways to heal, people do it differently, but this book explains the top 9 things that all the people she interviewed had in common.
Here they are
1. Drastically changed their diets
2. Took responsibility for their own health
3. Followed their intuition
4. Used herbs and supplements
5. Released suppressed emotions
6. Increased positive emotions
7. Embraced social support
8. Deepened their spiritual connection
9. Had strong reasons for living
I created a healing plan last year to help give people guidance and an action plan they can follow, this is almost identical but again this lady has all the scientific background and proof for why these steps help you heal.
You need to understand why you are doing the things you are doing and bring in people to help you.
Getting the right support is essential to healing, other people can bring you down, I see it all the time.
Move them away for a bit or explain how their attitude is affecting you as they most probably do not know.
Kelly Turner phd has done an incredible job truly listening and talking to the people who have healed that will in turn inspire others to follow suit.
She was accused of giving people false hope, this makes me crazy as I have been asked the same thing.
Hope is essential for being a human being.
We are killing people by taking away there hope, but what makes it a million times worse is that often the information they give out is not true. It is based on the limited pharmaceutical model that ignores ourcellves and our consciousness.
It is soooooo wrong and we need to wake up and address it.
People are dying unecessarily.
And are terrified and sick until they do.
Disempowered and scared, this is NOT the way to heal.
If you would like to believe you can heal, even when the people in the white coats have told you its all over, then you must read this book.
The body will heal itself when you move out the way.......why not give it a bash.
If you need me to help you I do free 20 minute (usually a lot more) consultations.
