When you eat determines your health?
Last year I let go of some boundaries that led to me gaining weight, losing energy and zest for life.
I had been nursing my mum, then she died and I was in the family home, grieving, alone, in bullshit lockdown and I really lost all interest and went into survival.
This is perfectly normal when you are sad, but at some point you know you are going to have to reign it in and get back in control. It is the first time in my life I felt alone, it was a powerful understanding of what it must be like to be stuck in your home, either caring or being cared for, and hoping other, kind, human beings will come visit you.
So I thought I'll go on the 18-6 intermittent fasting protocol, its stress free, easy and powerful then I put a challenge on facebook to see if anyone wanted to join me, far more to sort macells out though, than to help others.
Turns out a lot of people were in the same boat and on the 25th Jan we set off on a 2 week intermittent fasting challenge.
I knew those who stuck to it would lose weight, but I was not banging on about what to eat, just the fact that everything that you do eat, happens within the chosen window. I was normally doing 11am-5pm, that's easy for me at home during the week, and works without any stress.
Fat makes you full
I did a video on eating more fat, because that creates cellular expansion and satiety. Essential rule, choose a time frame that you can achieve without stress and eat good quality foods that ensure you will not be hungry.
Then success is guaranteed.
Time restricted eating (TRE) is a simple wee exercise that anyone can do without changing anything except the time you eat.
This takes the top 2 reasons/excuses for not taking care of ourcellves out of the equation
1. Im too tired
2. I dont have time
As a nutritionist who gave up practising due to the fact people do not change what they eat for very long, I was blown away by the responses!
Never have I heard so many testimonials for anything online regarding food andr dietary led behaviours, which are traditionally just not going to work long term.

Some of these came in the first week and the rest within 4 weeks of intermittent fasting, some 18-6 and some
16-8 but you can do 12-12 and still get results, Just start somewhere.
Between eating, breathing and cold baths not to mention no alcohol, I am feeling fantastic, feel a lot calmer in everyday life, anxiety has fallen, no craving at all, weight going down, overall so much better.
When I eat I go for healthier food which is a complete mind change - I would normally go for something sweeter or junkier- the breathing exercises are making me feel calmer and I feel more energised.
Ah yes it does that's wonderful! I'm continuing this even after the challenge is over because I'm enjoying how good I feel. My clothes are fitting better and some have gotten a little baggy
My last eat at 6pm tonight, roasted veg and goats cheese pasta im enjoying my food sooo much more! A totally mindful experience. And hunger not called once. Cups of tea helping break the hand to mouth eating habbit!
Started the intermittent fasting challenge .Only doing 16 /8 but it works for me .Some weight loss ( very gradual but I don't have too much to lose ) but no more eating during the night ,if I'm up cup of tea only and only up if really can't stay in bed any longer .
No longer ruminating on what might happen in the future . Positive about future and exploring all the links etc that you send with great interest .

Loving it! Its definitely a new way of life. I had last weekend off it, mostly due to alcohol and felt rubbish. So back on it all week the 18hrs been no problem, body happy!
Wish I started fasting years ago, before I began eating my emotions
PRETTY IMPRESSIVE EH?
More people die of overeating now than do of famine, and nobody does this deliberately.
Our lack of understanding over our own bodies is incredible, we need to be better educated AND take full responsability for it.
A great place to start is 12 -12 especially if you have never fasted before or it terrifies you.
Emotional eating due to bullying, abuse, trauma in the past is common.
Wanting to look a certain way and believing you are ugly if you don't is also common.
Believing you have tried everything, feeling overwhelmed and thinking you can never be your desired weight is also common.
Thinking even if you did lost weight you would never be able to keep it off is normal.
Feeling you have to give up all the things you love in order to be slim and healthy is also common.
But that is all subconscious beliefs, programming, inherited behaviours and limitation.
You can let go of all the emotional clap trap that keeps you stuck.
EFT is a simple way to do this.
But forget all of that for now and just focus on the time.
Golden rule, no food 3 hours before bed, only water or herbal tea.
Give it a few short weeks and FEEL the difference.
You are probably saying, I do that anyway?
Write everything you eat and drink down and the times. See if you are being 100% honest with yercells.
Oh I just had a wee biscuit, blah, blah, cheating blah, it will not work.
Time to own our power, be honest and sort our cells out.
Be the shining example in your family, your kids will mimic you eventually.
You got the power, you are the power.
