![]() Who decided some plants are out of bounds for us? Think about it. They grow around us, and some old men decided we were not allowed to have them, stew them, dry them and eat them and if we did it would be a crime? I mean seriously? Why? 3 years ago I set off for a 6 month trip round S America. Nearly everyone I met had tried or were going to try the plant medicines there. Ayahuasca, San pedro the cacao leaf and plant along with the usual smoking stuff. I had no intention of trying it because I had spoken to a lot of people who had done it over the years and it looked certain that one of your “journeys” would be to hell, and frankly I’ve been there enough, unintentionally, so I was not attracted. Then sitting at the pool one day, this gorgeous young canadian, told me he had seen God and had a 6 hour orgasm when he did ayahuasca so I thought, why not give it a go. $80, on my doorstep, I thought well Ill try anything once. It was a nice experience, no demons and I felt good for days after, but not a life changing experience and I thought I’d call it a day. Then last year I had the opportunity to try changa. Changa (/ˈtʃɑːŋɡɑː/) is a DMT/MAOI-infused smoking blend. Typically, extracts from DMT-containing plants are combined with a blend of different herbs and ayahuasca vine and/or leaf to create a mix that is 20–50% DMT, akin to a smokeable ayahuasca. This is done through a bong, (a glass vase with a spout to draw the smoke in) which I was rubbish at because I dont smoke, and I was instructed to inhale it all at once to get the full effect. I had about 5 mad drags on it to get as much smoke in as I could, then I heard a rush, saw some fractals and suddenly I arrived in an extremely bright place that was completely silent. I was in some place far away, totally disorientated, had no idea where I was, it was so white and silent after the rushing sound, and there was a female being, asking me if I remembered things. Which I didnt. I was not sure if she was saying remember what we taught you, or remember what you have to teach, I was trying to get my head around it when suddenly I became aware of the room, again, then into the matrix again, and back, slowly I landed back here, and I started laughing and laughing, it was truly incredible. Again for days I felt blissful, my brainwaves clearly enjoying the medicine. I had made a clear intention that I wanted to leave my body, I had been trying to meditate and breathe my way out there for years, so I got my wish, wherever the hell I went, it was like no other place I could remember. This was a wham, bam, thank you mam experience that was super cool, I loved the journey, but I did not come back wiser. When it comes to dose, this is important to understand, it dictates how "far" you go. There would appear to be 3 stages, the fractals, the tunnel then the breakthrough, in to other realms. I broke through, which was what I had intended, but most would build up to that point. Then recently I did an expanding consciousness ceremony which had a concoction of plant leaves in it. This was done in a safe setting with experts. The stage was set and we were held, it was very special. This was the biggy. We did yoga, breath work, then paid our respects to the drink and set our intention for the journey. My intention was, show me how to help improve our health picture, move people out of suffering and show me what I need to do to be the cleanest and most effective vehicle possible. Then we drank it and had a chat with each other about what we all wanted out of the experience. Lying down you wonder, what the hell is going to happen next, waiting to see what the medicine wanted to show us. I know it is not always a pleasant process, so a healthy respect and an awareness that darker things can come up, is always there in the background. This process can take 3-4 hours. Bathed in unconditional love for hours It is truly impossible to put into words what happened. What I saw and how I felt, it is something you will never describe with mere words. Beauty beyond belief, unconditional love, the Planet and the souls without the stories, my mum and dad, saying over and over, remember, remember, they were young and laughing, it was again, hilarious, like all the weight in the world has melted from your shoulders. The message was clear, show them, teach them, same message from the changa. This journey seemed gentle, loving, unfolding and guided, the past fell away and all stress dissolved. Your brain is rewired. The medicine acts like neurotransmitters that overide the past, it is truly remarkable. I had binged on plant medicine documentaries before and after, trying to get my head around what is actually happening and can we help people overcome horrific trauma, PTSD, drug resistant depression, anxiety, addiction and more, with the wonder of nature? There is so much research, some of it over 100 years old. This gift from nature, has to be respected and revered but when used wisely can be transformational for those who dare to go there. Plants have been used for ever with indigenous people to help solve problems and heal the physical, emotional and spiritual. It seems crazy to me that you would pop a pill or take a vaccine without a clue whats in it, yet eating or drinking a plant terrifies the living daylights out you, so that you will not even try. We are so conditioned to the mainstream narrative, we will not even open our mind to 100 years of scientific evidence. Herbal medicines are powerful, but we need to understand measurements and doses or we can get in trouble and end up feeling crap. The research shows that 70% of people have positive to miraculous experiences and it lasts well over a year, while those who have more of a negative experience, it goes away after the session. The other thing worth knowing is that it can take 1-3 sessions to be healed from the plants. No repeat prescriptions. Tons of studies on all conditions here. www.heffter.org/study-publications/ Being part of nature we know that there are no accidents here, she does not make mistakes or provide anything that is not meant to be here. I completely trust and respect what has been provided for us. Then man comes in and processes and legislates our plants for huge money while lining the ludicrously fat pockets of Bill Gates, Fauci, pharmaceutical companies and the like. A community medicine man, witch or shaman used to take care of everyone in the community regardless of wealth or standing. How things have changed. Some people think that you should listen blindly to the "experts" as you are not as well educated as them, this is another power grab, and nothing could be further from the truth. Your body will guide you, and often the meds can make you worse. More and more of us are waking up to that, including doctors, but for now there is nothing much else on offer unless you are rich. Nature or very rich, powerful men, who do you trust? One of the top causes of death in the western world, is prescribed drugs. chiro.org/LINKS/FULL/Death_By_Medicine.html The vaccine safety campaigners are ridiculed and vilified by pro vaxxers. Despite the fact that big pharma has indemnity and there is a vaccine damage board, questioning the wisdom is socially unacceptable. It is a known phenomena that people cling to their beliefs, and the one that is put in first, (vaccines make you healthier) is the one most of us will not even question, as we see reality as fixed, and questioning our beliefs opens all sorts of unknowns, and we do not want that, it makes us feel insecure. Changing the narrative To move the narrative on plant medicine from dangerous, hippy taking madness, to potentially powerful medicine is the same. Who is going to want to believe that when they have clung to the "drugs are bad" narrative their whole life, with great pride. Thinking they are superior because they have refrained from partaking. Or even worse, lying about it and judging others. Yet a plant or fungi that mother nature provides is hailed as dangerous as the devil and even worse criminalised and hidden from the masses. Here is the science. It breaks my heart to think of all the suffering that could be alleviated, and maybe some of our loved ones would still be here if the power of these plants had been properly explored. Here is the science if you want to do your own research. Potentially helpful for depression,, quitting smoking, OCD, anxiety, trauma, alcohol addiction, cocaine addiction, and cancer-related or other end-of-life psychological distress. See more science here www.beckleyfoundation.org/science/substances-methods/psilocybin/ Once again I am waking up to the power all around us, when we open our eyes, hearts and minds. And thanks to the internet we are now getting to the incredible research of our plants and fungi for treating anxiety, drug resistant depressions, PTSD, trauma and those diagnosed incurable and terminal. Now THAT is an idea worth exploring.
